a 5 is the best score ( a perfect score ) and seeing they combined the posing rounds a 10 represents a perfect score for those rounds.

Phil didn't win in a close contest , Phil hands down beat him it wasn't close

I think 5 means  5 judges had him  in 1st place , if one of the judges had him in 2nd place  his score would be 6 .............
