I was an editor at MuscleMag when those initial 8x10s of Jay from Irv Gelb arrived at the offices in the mid-'90s. Have interviewed him a bunch of times, and I have met him numerous times, as well.

So as I say, he doesn't impress me much in that video.

Perhaps my being around these guys throughout the last 20-plus years has made me desensitized or something.

I remember going to one of my good friends competitions here in NYC. Some of the guests there were pros, Dexter was there and I can't remember who else. I never had been around monsters like that before, only a few "big" guys from my gym. These guys where in a whole other league! I remember thinking how is it possible to turn the human body I to that? GH is a helluva drug.

One of my buddies schmoed a little when jay came to town a couple years ago and he said he meeting batista the wrestling was much much bigger in person atleast while he was on the sauce.
