Debates announced for presidential general election
« on: October 31, 2011, 03:39:54 PM »
One of the unfortunate things about this schedule is Obama does not have to answer tough questions until October of next year, and even then he'll only have to speak in soundbites.

Debates announced for presidential general election

CNN Political Unit

(CNN) - The Commission on Presidential Debates announced Monday the dates and locations of the three presidential debates, as well as the vice presidential debate, set for October 2012.

See the list and criteria for the debates after the jump.

Wednesday, October 3
University of Denver, Denver, CO

Thursday, October 11 (Vice presidential debate)
Centre College, Danville, KY

Tuesday, October 16 (Town meeting format)
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY

Monday, October 22
Lynn University, Boca Raton, FL

Two of the sites - Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York - hosted debates in the 2000 and 2008 election cycles, respectively.

Election Day will fall on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

As for criteria, candidates "must appear on a sufficient number of state ballots to have a mathematical chance of winning a majority vote in the Electoral College," in addition to meeting the Constitutional requirements for the presidency, according to a release from the commission.

Candidates must also have at least 15% national support, as determined by the average data from five national public opinion polling organizations selected by the commission.

Debate moderators will be selected in the summer of 2012.

Following the announcement, President Barack Obama's campaign manager Jim Messina released a statement.

"The President looks forward to next year's debates. Once the Republicans have selected their candidate, we will work through the details with their campaign and the Commission on Presidential Debates," Messina said.

– CNN's Gloria Borger and Kevin Bohn contributed to this report.

 ::)

He holds press conferences with hand picked audiences and only gives interviews to friendly networks and leftist cheerleaders where he gets the questions ahead of time and doesn't get asked tough questions about anything.

How fucking stupid can you possibly be?

clearly less stupid than you

All the major networks (as well as other media sources) have White House clearance and ask questions at all press conferences.

This happened just a couple of weeks ago at an Obama press conference.

I guess you're going to tell me know that Fox News is one of those hand picked leftist cheerleaders and this was one of those questions he got ahead of time

Quote
Fox News Chief White House Correspondent Ed Henry experienced a tense moment with President Obama during a Thursday press conference. The President held a joint press conference with Lee Myung-Bak, President of South Korea. Ed Henry had the first question of the conference and asked Obama if he considered the alleged Iranian assassination plot to be "an act of war."

I have no idea what's "real" to you

let's establish a baseline

was the one with the South Korean president a "real presser" ?

no!   He lies ad stammers and bullshits so much he just runs out the clock on utter bs so that at most 5 or so bs questions are asked and no follow ups.

only a severely beaten wife like yourself could believe Obama does anything but bullshit and lie his way through his faux presidency.
