Jokes aside - FB has some interesting algorithms going when it comes to locating the "People of interest" for a certain user. Visit a few profiles, click on a few other profiles in these you just visited (even if they aren't in your friend list) - everything will be stored/analysed in FB central hubs for a later use/suggestions/etc..
