Bialek And Kraushaar Show Patterns Of Gold Digging


Until the other day, the accusations against Presidential candidate Herman Cain were based on unnamed sources who were content to allow the media to do the work. Politico ran scores of stories with not one named source. The left-wing mainstream media like NBC and CBS were content to run with those conjecture-based stories without so much as a raised eyebrow (unless you count the ones aimed at Cain).

The first blond white woman to come forward to make a claim was flanked by her world famous ego-centric attorney Gloria Allred. Sharon Bialek felt she needed to help her friend Herman, so she decided to go public with a claim of an unwanted advance. Herein lies the easy part, because we can now vet one of the vetters.

Bialek has a history of her own. In 1991, she filed for personal bankruptcy. It’s nothing new, many good people have been forced to do so because of uncontrollable misfortune. But they rebound and many are able to set forth on a new path with some better insight on how to proceed with their financial life, more judiciously. Bialek, however, didn’t. She filed once again in 2001. So it’s now 2011, and the pattern is clear. She’s about due for another one, unless she can make a quick hustle.

In addition to these particular personal failures, she has had much trouble holding a job. Why is that? It could one or more of be many reasons.

Is she a job-hopper who is merely an opportunist? Does she sleep her way into a job, only to find that sleeping with the person who got her the job was getting boring? Conjecture, yes. But she fits the profile of a gold-digger which was evident when she picked Allred as her counsel. It becomes politically troubling when we learn that the woman lives in the same building as David Axelrod.

If this isn’t enough, we now have a new name and face to step forward. Karen Kraushaar has made it known that she is the original accuser, who settled with the National Restaurant Association for mere pennies on the dollars of the price she was originally asking. But another disturbing picture of this woman is beginning to emerge. It seems the AP is reporting that she filed another complaint against her next employer, after settling with the NRA.

From the AP report:

Karen Kraushaar, 55, filed the complaint while working as a spokeswoman at the Immigration and Naturalization Service in the Justice Department in late 2002 or early 2003, with the assistance of her lawyer, Joel Bennett, who also handled her earlier sexual harassment complaint against Cain in 1999. Three former supervisors familiar with Kraushaar’s complaint, which did not include a claim of sexual harassment, described it for the AP under condition of anonymity because the matter was handled internally by the agency and was not public.

To settle the complaint at the immigration service, Kraushaar initially demanded thousands of dollars in payment, a reinstatement of leave she used after the accident earlier in 2002, promotion on the federal pay scale and a one-year fellowship to Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, according to a former supervisor familiar with the complaint. The promotion itself would have increased her annual salary between $12,000 and $16,000, according to salary tables in 2002 from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

Kraushaar told the AP she considered her employment complaint “relatively minor” and she later dropped it.

If it was relatively minor, why even file it?

But let’s read on:

“The concern was that there may have been discrimination on the job and that I was being treated unfairly,” Kraushaar said.

Kraushaar said Tuesday she did not remember details about the complaint and did not remember asking for a payment, a promotion or a Harvard fellowship. Bennett, her lawyer, declined to discuss the case with the AP, saying he considered it confidential. Kraushaar left her job at the immigration service after dropping the complaint in 2003, and she went to work at the Treasury Department.

Details of the workplace complaint that Kraushaar made at the immigration service are relevant because they could offer insights into how she responded to conflicts at work. She now works as a spokeswoman in the office of the Treasury Department’s inspector general for tax administration.

The article goes on to say this is important to know because it gives us a picture of how this woman deals with conflict on the job. The complaint was centered on her supervisors not allowing her to work from home after an accident. As an attachment, it also included an allegedly objectionable e-mail that was being passed around on the system......
