In one month President Barack Obama has gone from a 44-54 approval/disapproval rating to a 49/48 approval rating--a 11-point positive change.

Probably some backlash from seeing the 2012 repub options and saying
"Obama might suck, but could I really see bachmann or Newt being the face of this country? 
Do I really believe Herman Cain will go 5 minutes without embarassing us?"

This is a temporary bump, probably based on the Iraq drawdown. Remember the bump he got after Bin Laden got whacked. Look how long that lasted.
