I have a few friends likte that. They buy a one year membership and go train maybe 10 times

I like working out in crowded gyms as long as I don't have to wait for equipment. I need to be distracted between sets. Also I get motivated since everyone looks at me all the time since I am in better shape than they are. I hate working out in empty gyms

Correct - gyms loves these people - they come in four times a week in January, once a week in February, one a month in March, and then dissapear.   But paid for a full year.
