Windturbine is more effective and more importantly more cost effective.

Build a huge windturbine, get an alternator from a truck or something, and connect 10+ carbatteries in parallel.

There you go self sufficient electricity. I would do this if I owned a house. :)

Woodstove is far superior to any type of solar heating, solar in the winter is very inefficient.

They as well as wind turbines do not produce much power on a large scale. If you are interested for real check out "grid tie inverters" for easy hook up once you have your panels, or turbines. If you are serious build them yourself, it is very easy just alot of soldering. You can purchase all your panels on Ebay for a fraction of what you would pay for a prebuilt system.

I am sure you do not have access to a reactor, but another option for you could be geothermal.

Good luck.

yeah another thing i lack experience in is soldering, i know nothing of it

too bad there isnt enough local getbiggers on tap in nc

im calling/paying  my oil man to fix it for now

i remember going to this really shitty tire place once in the freezing cold cause i needed a tire patch, and they had this huge fuckin barrel outside burning and neigga falcons standing around it to keep warm. i found that barrel very energy efficient, i guess theres a way i could use that method in a safe way without the co2 comeing in the house
