Watching this on ABC and man he sounds terrible.  I am surprised his speech hasn't come back better.

An older television soundman told me the industry slang term for that model of microphone that Dick Clark is using is a "Donkey Dick"

Yes. That was painful to watch. :(

His speech skills are now really bad. After the stroke, I felt his ability to speak had been improving.

But it definitely seems to have taken a dramatic turn for the worse this year. :o
