Bikini Girl Diet Help
« on: January 18, 2012, 04:57:04 AM »
Hey guys
My girlfriend is dieting for a Bikini competition in April, the problem is she struggles to get in her protein.
I'm currently letting her eat about 350g of chicken breast fillet a day, but even that is too much and she gets nauseous when trying to eat it, as it is too much! She's not really a meat eater per se...
She's okay with eating tuna but its too expensive here to eat 2/3 times a day.
One thought I had is that she drinks whey protein for the bulk of her protein intake, but I don't know if that is the best option for her.
Another option is upping the eggs she eats to increase protein aswell. She's eating about 160g protein per day?
Any advice?
Any bikini girls that could help?
Thanks

You think that is too little?? I think its enough.
However this i the last diet i recommended to a bikini chick.

Meal 1: chicken and banana
Meal 2: white fish and 1/2 cup basmati rice.
Meal 3-5: white fish with veggies.

Boundary Breaker

No I think 160g is more than enough for her as she weighs about 140lbs. The problem just is that she struggles to eat the chicken. She says its too much for her. So I don't know if I should let her drink more protein in whey form?
Meal 1: Whey and banana
Meal 2-3: Whey + fruit or other carb or maybe a fat (PB)?
Meal 4/5: White fish + salad
She can't really eat a lot at a time!

1 Serving Whey
200g Banana
40g Peanut Butter

1 Serving Whey
300g Apple
30g Peanut Butter

4 Large Egg
1 Serving Whey
200g Banana

Tuna
Salad

±1700 Calories
±150g Protein
±150g Carbs
±60g Fat

She's eating about 160g protein per day?

 ???

Being from the U.S. I am used to standard measurements.

How much in Tablespoons is 30g of peanut butter?

How much of a banana is 200g?  Is it half a banana or a full banana?  What about the apple?

As for diff proteins how about egg whites?

Is she really eating 4 whole eggs or do you mean egg whites?

I have no idea. I weigh everything? Yeah I could do just 4 egg whites, but you throw away half the protein with the yolks and also fat soluble vitamins. Later in the contest prep Ill drop the yolks when I need to cut calories

OK....but can you tell if you are giving her half a banana or a whole one?

When you say 350g of chicken breast...is that really what you meant?

Is she taking a multi-vitamin?

I have never done bikini and only did one figure show so I may not be a good one to ask.  How many weeks out is she?

I'm going to look for a metric to standard conversion chart

1. OK....but can you tell if you are giving her half a banana or a whole one?

2. When you say 350g of chicken breast...is that really what you meant?

3.Is she taking a multi-vitamin?

4. How many weeks out is she?

I'm going to look for a metric to standard conversion chart

1. If I should guess I'll say about 1 banana
2. Yeah 350g chicken for the whole day, split throughout the day. But she said that was too much and much prefers the diet I mentioned.
3. No she's not on a multi-vit at the moment
4. Next week it will be 12 weeks out.

OK...if the chart I found is correct it looks like you are giving her over 4 tablespoons of peanut butter a day?

From a figure pov, I would think that would be too much.  But like I said I only did one figure show and I needed to drop fat for that.  Maybe your girl needs to gain?  I had one tablespoon of peanut butter a day for a few weeks then that was dropped and then was switched to one tablespoon of flax oil per day.

I'm no nutritionist...have you prepped people for these shows before and had success?

I'm confused...I read it as you are having her take in 160g of protein a day but I also read 350g of chicken.    So are you adding those together and she is actually taking in 510g of protein?

Do you mean 35g of chicken and not 350g?

If a tbsp PB is about 15g then yes its about 4 tbsp PB.
I don't think she needs to gain at the moment? She needs to lose some bodyfat and get leaner.
I haven't really prepped a lot of people, only myself for a bodybuilding show last year.
The way I did it was start with high-ish carbs and moderate protein (1g per pound) in a calorie deficit. Then every 3 weeks or so I drop carbs by a bit and raise protein a bit based on progress. For myself I usually drop about 20-50g carbs. But for her it would be 10-20g.

What did the diet for the figure prep look like?

My trainer had me do something like this for about 7 weeks and then tightened it up for the last 3 weeks (dieted 10 weeks):

Meal 1

1/2 c. oatmeal (cooked is about 1 c.)
6 egg whites
(I added packet splenda/stevia and ground cinnamon to the oatmeal)

(in the beginning this meal was Ezekiel type toast and the egg whites and one tablespoon peanut butter)

Meal 2

chicken breast
sweet potato
(supposed to be ~5 oz each)

Meal 3

Protein shake
5 strawberries

Meal 4

orange roughy
1/2 c. brown rice (I mixed packet of splenda/stevia and 1 Tablespoon flax oil in the rice)
~10 stalks asparagus

Meal 5

6 egg whites
piece of Ezekiel toast or 1/2 apple

Meal 6

optional protein shake

I also took a Multi-Vitamin and Glucosamine.....the last 3 weeks I took BCAAs because we forgot to have me get them till then.    Oh yeah, I also got to have a tablespoon of Wheat Germ which I would eat on it's own.

No, 350g of chicken = ± 108g protein... To make up the rest of the protein I let her eat eggs/whey etc and then it equals 160g. Sorry if I didn't state it clear enough

I got 6th in my class (u/21). I was happy because it was the first time ever I could see my abs, but I wasn't at my best. I couldve came in a lot harder and with less bodyfat, but this was my first competition and I learned a lot out of my mistakes (starting cardio too late, cheating too much). But for me it was just an accomplishment to step on stage!

Is she drug free? If so I would suggest she find an expert with a track record of getting other drug free women lean and contest prep.

A chick I was dating last year had really good success with someone online. If you're interested PM me.
