Low DHEA levels. EQ/Deca/Test causing this?
« on: August 21, 2012, 09:21:34 PM »
So I got some blood work back and my DHEA is <30 if I remember right, abnormal for sure. I was on 5-600mg EQ for weeks, jumped briefly on Deca at 300 for two weeks, and been on Test-C at 350 for a very long time (hrt). A couple of weeks before the blood test I dropped the deca/eq and lowered the test to 250. On past blood work my DHEA levels came back at the very bottom of normal range, so low but never this low.

Should I simply supplement with capsules?

I've been doing some internet research on whether Dhea is beneficial while "ON" and what I'm finding seems to indicate that yes, 25 mg 2x ed can do wonders on energy, mood, and in some cases libido. Apparently test production isn't the only thing that gets shut down when excess test is administered.

The consensus seems to be that 50 mg/day is the upper limit for most before the conversion to estr. may become an issue for some.

The prevailing bro-science attitude seems to be that once you are on the good stuff, OTC substances are a waste of cash, but I am finding posts from many long time users that do incorporate dhea into the "ON" period of cycles.

I would like to know more myself as I am adding it to my current stack to see if it improves energy and mood, I will report back with any findings after enough time to make a valid conclusion has gone by, I take an AI so have no real worry of conversion to estr.

Yea, dhea production will be shutdown if you use exogenous steroids, supplement with dhea, it is cheap and effective.
