no they are suffering individuals. Hurt psychologically by those should have taken care of them when they trusted them. I agree that many use the 'mental illness' excuse for their behavior.
That being said, two of my family members are schizophrenic, and came from very loving homes...... there is most definitely something out of balance that was there from birth. Definitely an illness I would say.
If you do not understand, then you have never been around someone that truly suffers from a real mental illness.
