Your posts almost always make sense, but eh ... I dunno, Shock. Maybe he wasn't a terrible president, but I'd never call him a good one, either. It was under his watch that we had debacles like the Bay of Pigs. I'll give him credit for drawing a line in the sand with the USSR during the Cuban Missile Crisis, but that probably wouldn't have happened had he not botched things a year earlier. He also set the stage for the Vietnam War (I know LBJ was the man to truly commit to the conflict, but Johnson used all of Kennedy's advisors. Had JFK lived, he, not Lyndon, would've been the one to escalate hostilities in a complete fuck-up of a war). I know we have the benefit of hindsight, but the hawks were the only people who really thought one more communist "domino" falling in the asshole end of the malaria-ridden world would truly change the face of the planet :roll:
I do think it's pretty absurd that people get all up in arms over the JFKs and MLKs being cheating douchebags. Yeah, maybe that means they're shit family men, but leaders? I don't want a fucking boy scout in the Oval Office. I'd rather have a proper bastard in there who gets his knob polished on a regular basis, makes the nation's enemies quake in their boots and runs things like a fucking businessman.
