There are already 20+ girls qualified for the Bikini Olympia, and we are only at the beginning of the season. How did these new rules work exactly in bringing down the number of competitors?

The only category they are cutting down competitors is the Men's Pro and the Women's Bodybuilding. Seems to me something is not working right. And now those of us who choose to go the Olympia, will have to sit through a 4 hour show with 15 guys and probably close to 30 bikini competitors, if the shows are combined again. Count the 11 fitness and the 13 figure competitors so far (probably 18 each by September) and we have the exact same, or close to, situation as the previous years.

Frankly I am baffled by this. Men's bodybuilding is by far the most visited and sold out show of the Olympia weekend. With less guys now competing and the same (or more) number of ladies, won't this bring the ticket sales down?

Why can't the Mr. Olympia/Olympia 212 be just in one show by themselves? Or at the very least compare the guys, give out their awards so they can go eat and not wait backstage for the women's shows and THEN go on to do the fitness/figure/bikini comparisons etc? Why force spectators to sit through all shows by combining them?
