Guys like to fool themselves and think a woman half their age "really likes them, despite them being doctors or very successful", these women overlook "money".

And to catch a stray on top of the drama? 

This is like the time I was bartending at a local college bar (it was summer right before classes were to begin--but everyone was back) and this hot chick kisses me to make her boyfriend jealous.  I was on the tennis team and weighed 160.  Her boyfriend who had just walked in the door?  6'4"  260.
