It'll be interesting to see how all this plays out.

Paul absolutely needs to run third party if he loses the primary.  This is his last chance and he can beat the other two goofs..

Sounds like he drank too many Red Bulls.

And how is it Ron Paul is racking up delegates?  He has 72.  Romney has 695.  http://www.cnn.com/election/2012/primaries.html

You do realize that is "projected" delegates right? Nothing is finalized, and different media all have different delegate counts. (depending on their bias).
Yes Romney is probably way ahead, and yes he is more than likely going to lose, but its not nearly as bad as that "estimate" says.

Yes I understand these are projected delegates.  I also understand that delegates will vote in line with the outcome of the primaries and caucuses, like they always do, so the projected delegates are fairly accurate.

Well this isnt exactly every other campaign, Paul's whole strategy is exactly opposite that of typical campaigns. So we will see what happens.
Still dont think he has much of a chance, but I think the results are going to suprise you.

You think that delegates will vote for Paul at the convention, over Romney, even though Paul will not have won a single primary or caucus?

Yes. That has been their strategy the whole time.

/Naive hopefulness.

Seriously though, I dont know. He's been letting people know he's coming at this with a different strategy than we have ever seen, focusing on amassing delegates, so we will see what happens.
Im hoping its more than just political bluster.

I can't see how that would be good for him, even if it worked.  It sounds undemocratic.

I also think it would irresponsible to nominate someone who couldn't get enough votes to win any primaries or caucuses.
