Well, one thing I don't expect is a couple of you to be unbiased and actually approach the subject rationally. Lost that expectation awhile back. Talking about incarceration rates doesn't speak at all the the original picture painted by Kul. Sorry you can't see that.

Hard to respect a Government that uses Riot Squads to intimidate, harass and beat citizens during lawful protests, using Tasers, batons and other Government legislation to punish citizens for little or no infractions without any trial.  Here in Australia, the deep level of corruption is well known amongst those that matter with retired Royal Commissioners reporting on how entrenched and possibly unfixable it all is.  The average citizen can just hope and pray the officer they run into is having A GOOD DAY!  The sad fact is, the Police force has become a attitude police force, taking away dissent and anti establishment behaviour serving a Political Corporate Elite.  The crooks rarely get caught and are often largely intertwined with Officialdom at the highest level.  Jails are full of poor people and drug users, people who were used and abused by this intolerable system in the first place.  The whole thing is disgusting, the end game for these Elitists is too have one sovereign World Army or Power that no other force can rise against - the police are just part of the whole thing - slowly enforcing unjust and corrupt legislation on it's fellow citizens.  As a human being who believes that causing another human being suffering also creates suffering within myself, I find it highly disturbing how comfortable the average police person is with dehumanizing and perpetrating violent acts on unarmed non threatening civilians.

What the fuck do I care if Kul didn't say "incarceration".... The fact of the matter is that the logical continuation of a Police state goes towards how many people are fucking locked up.

That's just the way it is.

So he didn't put in 3 words saying "Locking people up"? It doesn't change the fact that when you have any conversation regarding the over use of police... the abuse of the removal of liberty must be discussed. It's just the direction you have to take it to complete the discussion.
