Are you suggesting Coach was practicing Broscience before "Broscience" had even been given a name, Che?

Good stuff, best jump roper around. May Mayweathers and boxing in general would eventually evolve from the 1930's

I love that old school conditioning. Guys on bodybuilding boards put down such things as push ups, chins, mountain climbers and running.  Truth be told you could take any top shelf bodybuilder and turn them into an exhausted wreck quickly using old school methods.

I was on the Navy web site awhile ago and one question was what type of weight training should a canidate for the Seals be doing. The answer came back stating in effect, there are no weights or machines in Seals training.

Having strength without power and conditioning is useless in athletics.

You develop power by performing Max Effort & Dynamic Effort work. Not by push ups , mtn climbers & running.

As Colin Cowherd says of these lighter weight classes, "it's like watching my kids fight".

I just mentioned a couple of old school exercises that are great for conditioning. I didn't make a comprehensive old school exercise list on developing power.  Fast push ups, hitting the bag; various jumps; sprinting, Olympic lifting and other old school exercises develop power.

Sometimes I think the worse thing that has happened to fitness is these two week certified fitness certificates. Suddenly everyone is an exercise physiologist and a kinesiologist. When I took anatomy and physiology in college it was a two semester 8 credit course with a lab. Now personal trainers get  next to nothing during their two week education on being an "exercise expert". One of the most respected certificates to obtain is owned by an out of shape 50 something guy with a gut.

Perhaps you should take Floyd  under your win Coach, he could be unstoppable.

Boxers are worse than MMA fighters when it comes to weight training. Do not want.
