2 weeks ago it was rainy and my truck wouldnt start, the lights came on but no sound when turning the key, i did have massive acid erosion on the battery terminals so i called AAA to get it towed. the repair shop put me in a new battery and terminals since one of the terminals was massively eroded

well 2 weeks later, (today/rainy) my vehicle did the same thing, no sound when i turned over the key (i have automatic transmission). well the tow truck guy comes a massive 300 pounds at 5feet7 i knew we were gonna hit it off because we were both natural blondes. so he asks to check up under the hood i pointed out a few things that  looked suspect and he was like "naw nearger thats not it"

then he puts the truck in neutral and then cranks it and VOIALA the truck cranks up. He says its called a "SAFETY SWITCH" but he said id be better off not fixing that part since its expensive 3-400 bucks. He says i can just start it in neutral whenever my safety switch goes out.....i didnt even realize this was possible, never thought about cranking up my ride in neutral

just a tip for you all bros if your car wont start for somereason and you think its the battery, alternater, spark plug, starter ect it could be the SAFETY SWITCH so just put that hoe in neutral and remember johnsay falcone

i just know much good is going to come back on this guy for doing that if i wouldve thought fast enough i wouldve gave him 20 bucks for just teaching me that lesson

of course.. i know that now 

but yeah.. your tow truck guy was a good un.. to many mechanics/garages wouldn't tell you such stuff and overcharge you for work that wasn't necesarily needed. cunts

here is another thing, if the ABS stays lit on dashboard I just ignore it,  it has worked for me so far.


normally I start in reverse or first, it saves a few milliseconds of fuel.

Yeah, neutral safety switch. Makes it so you cant start it in gear.

see this is the difference between a god fearing man and a money fearing man (most mechanics)

a good man, god fearing man will tell you whats really wrong with your car

a greedy man, a money fearing man, thinks he never has enough money (typical mechanic) they aim to stretch there profit margin as far as they can stretch it

its much better to just be a good man because in your heart youll know you did the right thing, its alot easier to carry a light heart than a heavy heart filled with guilt around


these guilty feelings are hard to supress, youll think about it all the time, i guess thats why people turn to antidepressants and pills to knock out the guilt

Good post.  I'm surprised people in that business can sleep at night with all the guilt and worry.  I bet even the honest ones wake up in the middle of the night worried that they forgot an important bolt or put a part on wrong and maybe the customer is dead.  Lots of bad feels.
