your title is perfect because I've seen this type of "treatment" all the time and it's usually guys who simply have no business in a boxing gym that get treated like that. Sad because even I don't like to see people belittled but after you see their half ass effort you actually shake your head at them for even hanging around PAYING to get treated like shit.
Basically these trainers know there are certain types not willing to push themselves to actually be halfway decent and don't listen (huge no no), so they belittle them and all of them (trainers who talk down on guys) will say "this jackass keeps coming back and he's paying so whatever".
on the flipside....if you pay for one session and that SAME trainer see's you are actually picking up on shit and getting better and taking him seriously (by listening and doing what he tells you) just from ONE single session...they'll cut the price then actually train you for free, teach you waaaaaay more stuff and more doors will open for you (backstage passes, sparring with professionals, cornering for pros, road trips, free gym membership..etc,etc).
