33,

you would be VERY upset if Obama chose not to run.

hilary would immediately lead romney by 25 points in any poll, as she figured out how to take over the ticket lol.

and hilary ain't overturning obamacare ;)

Hillary and Bill both hate obama and think he is incompetent and destroying the democrat party.

After the shellacking the demos took in 2008 - Obama refusal to do what Bubba did is going to lead to a tsunami and complete wipeout of all the demos in competitive races.

That will be another legacy of oblah blah.   Destroying the democrat party and how the sycophants and lemmings let it happen.

if you want obama policy reversed, then you don't want hilary getting the job.  period.

bill/hilary hate obama, but they aren't going to alienate their base by ending all his policies.  if you hate obama, support hilary.  But if you hate obama's POLICIES, then support romney.  Sometimes Im' not sure you separate the two :)

Hillary is a leftist, but she is not a dedicated communist like Obama.   She saw how Bubba moved to the center and worked w the gop to do things.

Obama has ZERO leadership abilities and ZERO ability to work with anyone on anything, including his own party for fucks sake!

thanks captain obvious, but address my point.

if hilary runs, romney loses in a fcking landslide, and obama POLICIES REMAIN IN PLCE.

I'd happily vote for Hillary.

What 240 can't let himself see is that many people lean to one side politically but will choose political competence and knowledge of world relations over incompetence and arrogant ideological naïveté, regardless of party affiliation.

If you ask me, the best scenario we could have right now is Hillary in the white house and a republic house & senate.
An America led by a politically savvy president whose policy enactment is tempered by an opposite-party congress is an America that can succeed.  It's a second chance at a post-'94 Clinton presidency.

What we've had this far with Obama is a super-majority that was too busy pushing through every partisan bill they had ink for to see that the economy was crumbling in ways that huge-money "stimulus" bills could never fix, followed by a mid-term wake up call that led to whining and name-calling when those policies started getting blocked by a bi-partisan congress.

Neither side is "all good."
Unfiltered governing by either side is rarely good for the country.
What IS good is having a solid political LEADER as commander-in-chief and a congress that doesn't let him run roughshod over the country with whatever pet-project that catches his fancy.

Reagan was a dim-witted LEADER who benefited from the "demo congress" his fans say he succeeded "in spite of."
Clinton was a political genius who was at his best as a LEADER when he had to use that genius to get things done with Gingrinch's congress.

For the most part, America does best when the government can do the least...and can thrive when an at-odds white house and congress can only do what it NEEDS to do.
We don't have that with Obama right now...Hillary understand politics well enough to play that role IMO.

my point is that any repub who wants to undo the obama legislation doesn't want hilary.

she'll govern from the center, but she won't UNDO shit like romney says he will.

obamacare ain't that much diff form hilarycare, and they're cut from the same mold.

Obamacare is a matter for the SC, what the fuck are you talking about.

Id vote for Hillary in a second over Romney.

That is why the clintons are sticking the knife into Barry.

They figure Romney is going to beat obama and they would rather have Hillary run vs Romney as opposed to running a primary and imploding the democrat party in the process since it would alienate a lot of the base.

MSNBC Panel’s Verdict On Obama Campaign Speech: It Stinks (Video)
 Mediaite ^ | 3:35 pm, June 14th, 2012 | Noah Rothman

President Barack Obama delivered a campaign speech on Thursday that was billed as an effort to refocus on the economy and to frame the debate against Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney moving forward. But a panel of liberal commentators on MSNBC reacting to the speech unanimously felt the President had wasted the opportunity to truly make an impact on the race.

I thought this, honestly, was one of the least successful speeches I’ve seen Barack Obama give in several years,” said Newsweek editor Jonathan Alter. “It was long winded. He had a good argument to make, and at the beginning of the speech he seemed to be making it in a fairly compelling way but then he lost the thread.”

Alter said he thought the speech was “way too long” and Obama had “lost the audience by the end.”

Daily Beast columnist and economist Zachary Karabell agreed with Alter, saying that the President opened the speech well, but quickly lost the plot.

MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall attempted to clarify the President’s points for her panelists, seeing that the conversation was rapidly spiraling into pointedly off-message territory.

UPDATE: Jonathan Alter appears to be taking heat for his insufficient support of Obama following his Ohio campaign speech. Not long after his appearance on MSNBC, Alter tweeted this:

Jonathan Alter@jonathanalter Just cheerleading BO doesn't help him. He needs a sharper, more cogent message with some memorable lines. I ain't walking my criticism back

He's just fucking posturing, he probably believes that the SC is going to overturn it so he wont even have to worry about it.
Anyway, the SC is far ahead of Romney, so again, your point is invalid.

I saw him speaking from a podium yesterday.

'repeal obamacare' was on his podium.  i stopped and did a double take.  I found it off.  No campaign slogan.  rather, something that appeals to voters on a more visceral level, a bit more raw and edgy.  I liked it.

But yes, it IS his primary message.  "fix economy" is a little vague and he has already said economy is improving under obama.

Before the speech was over, Politico’s Mike O’Brien begged the president to stop.

In terms of politics, this speech could have ended about 20 minutes ago. Drive your message, take your ball, go home.

On the air, MSNBC’s Jonathan Alter said it was “one of the worst speeches I’ve ever heard Barack Obama make.” He refused to back down.

ABC News reporter Devin Dwyer felt like we were all being lectured.

devindwyer@devindwyer
Obama speech in Ohio felt more lecture or courtroom arg than rally. He streamlined pitch, imbued urgency, said voters will break stalemate.

... Yahoo! News White House correspondent Olivier Knox took note of the massive word count of the speech (for the record, the official White House transcript clocked in at just under 6,500 words).

I ask colleague for CQ transcript of Obama speech. Response: "Sure, but it looks like they only have the first 45,000 words."

The long running time of President Obama’s speech made Politico’s Jennfier Epstein think of a new inspirational maxim for the country.

Buzzfeed’s Zeke Miller was clearly unimpressed.

There is nothing new in this speech.
