Gluten Intolerance - few things come to mind
« on: July 01, 2012, 05:57:23 PM »
Long story short, a buddy of mine just recently found out he's gluten intolerant. How severe? He's not sure yet, as he's doing the "allergy test" next week. And it might not even be that bad unless you have celiac disease. But then again celiac disease is only a genetic disease, which could also be related to people having type 1 diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. Now until then, a few things come to mind:

1- NO MORE F-CKING beer
2- Soy protein, soy milk
3- NO MORE whole wheat, whole grains or brown rice
4- Bottom line keep this specific protein out of your system!

I'm gluten intolerant, not that big of a deal.  You can buy gluten free bread, and pasta, flour... Be a man and drink Jack Daniels and fuck the beer.

When I do eat gluten now, I feel horrible for a day or so.

There are many things to eat if you're sensitive to gluten. They make many gluten free products such as breads, oats, noodles, pizza, cereal etc. I use these gluten free products:

Quinoa instead of rice plus it contains more protein than rice: http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-Certified-Organic-Quinoa-16-oz-454-g/12701

Oats. http://www.iherb.com/Bob-s-Red-Mill-Whole-Grain-Rolled-Oats-Gluten-Free-2-lbs-907-g/9951

Almond Milk Vanilla tastes just like milk: http://www.drinksilk.ca/silk-almond-vanilla.php

Same with me,a few months ago i had hives on my arms and legs, really bad diahorrea, bloated stomach, and extreme stomach pains, then one day i bumped into a mate who noticed the rash on my arm.He told me he had the same and the doctor told him to cut wheat out of his diet,so i tried the same and within a week the rash was basically gone, stomach pain gone and my waist has dropped down a couple of inches.

Nah, it's actually real, man.  I know where you're coming from, but some people really have a problem with the stuff.

my friend recently found out the same thing. it seems to be very common now. did it exist a couple decades ago?

i guess you have to look at it positively, it makes you think about your diet and eat better, if you have a problem with that

Watch the video, and find out how "wheat" is no longer wheat, and why the number of diabetics is increasing like crazy.Wheat has a glycemic index of 71,pure sugar is 60.

Far as I know there is naturally no gluten in oats, rice, or corn, and certainly none in milk unless it somehow makes its way through the cow so there shouldn't be any need to look for a gluten free label on those products.  It's only found in wheat and immediately related grasses.

Idk man.  I watched both parts but he never delivered on why genetic variance of modern wheat from early strains is bad.  The section on gliadin was equally perplexing since he never established a link between gliadin and opiate receptors, or how any of this explains schizo's reation to wheat (or if wheat was the only carb to which the schizos reacted badly).

I found his conclusion that wheat consumption was primarily to blame for rising obesity and diabetes pretty difficult to swallow.  I'm sure an abundance of wheat from high yield crops has contributred to the problem but I'm more inclined to believe the HFCS theory since it's refined to an ultra high calorie density and added to all sorts of foods and drinks.  At any rate, he didn't explain to my satisfaction how wheat was any worse than any other carb or refined carb.

Some people genuinely suffer but I agree there is far too much faggotry surrounding the issue.  How is half the world all of a sudden violently allergic to a staple grain that sustained western man for thousands of years?

I almost agreed with TA. Was ready to slap myself silly.

Tapeworm speaks the truth. Way too much faggotry over it. Now a wheat allergy, that's a real condition. That shit might kill you. These so-called intolerances (where 90% of them are bs-ing and 10% genuinely are intolerant) bit of bloating, the runs, etc western pussification.

I experimented eating gluten free for a full 30 days and felt really good.   No puffiness around the eyes in the morning.  I sleep better and I feel better after meals.

They have Gluten-free oats due to gluten cross-contamination in production facilities due to making other products. Even though oats are considered gluten free to most, many people that have gluten sensitivity or celiac disease still react to "regular oats".

As for milk I don't drink it. I was just stating that I use the almond milk as it doesn't contain gluten in it. Same with quinoa.

Unless its a pesticide or something else that wasnt there thousands of years prior...
