About whether Africa will be the new manufacturing hub or not, technology etc...(yes, I know that having a infrastructure and political stability is a must), and seeing how other countries (most notably the Chinese---an eaxmple of a shoe factory in Ethiopia---Chinese language over English and the native language), I've come to the conclusion that American corps and manufacturing businesses are some of the most bullheaded, arrogant, idiots. How could you allow other countries to eat your lunch on this?
At least build ties that you have Descendants of African here, and go from there, establishing factories within countries that are politically stable, have an infrastruture, and have agreements on corruption.
I can see Nike shoes made in Ghana, shirts made in Angola, etc.
And hell, let's not stop there, Corp and our administration have a unique opportunity to unite the Americas---North, Central and South into a manufacturing and supply web like never before seen. While at the same time helping certain countries gain stability (Central American countries like Guatamala), so that it stems the tide of illegal immigration Of course, that "good enighbor policy" must mean, we respect your laws, just you MUST respect ours. One could say, that the Americas is the most diverse population of peoples on earth, we build upon that as well.
