Everything grows older - heck, the Niagra Falls will be gone one day and so will the Earth.

The water dropping over Niagara Falls digs great plunge pools at the base, undermining the shale cliff and causing the hard limestone cap to cave in. Niagara has eaten itself seven miles (11 kilometers) upstream since it was formed 10,000 years ago. At this rate, Niagara Falls will disappear into Lake Erie in 22,800 years.
The Niagara River connects Lake Erie with Lake Ontario, and marks the U.S.-Canada boundary (New York-Ontario).
