Presidents impact on economy
« on: July 27, 2012, 08:31:22 AM »
We attribute a lot to the president, but how much of an impact does/can he really have on the economy?

Was Clinton responsible for the boom in the 90's?  Did GWB destroy the economy?  Would Gore or Kerry have been any different?  Has Obama delivered the final blows?  Would McCain have put us back on the right track by now?

I don't really buy it.

Congress controls the money and present the budgets, look no further and you will see who saved/destroyed the economy.

Most morons don't even know who their congressmen are.

Meanwhile we're debating about who will return Churchill's bust to the oval office.

The President can have a big impact on the economy in terms of providing confidence or fear of what is going to happen w taxes, inflation, debt, etc.

We are in the WORST recovery since the great depression with no signs of ending because the current makeup of the govt of having an outright marxist tyrant in the WH , and his henchman Reid running the Senate have provided no confidence or incentive to business, domestic or foreign, to invest and take chances.

Companies are just holding on now and will not hire or expand until Obama is gone.

The democrats still blame Bush. Obviously they believe the president makes all the difference. Therefore, why would democrats vote for re-election?
