Source: Washington post

Over the past few years, Republicans have developed a habit of railing against the 47 percent of Americans who don’t pay any federal income taxes. It’s a fairly misleading talking point, but it keeps resurfacing. And now Mitt Romney has picked up on it:

he was right about the 46.4% number.

however, he was very much wrong about the fact many people who don't pay taxes DO vote republican.
And many people who DO pay taxes do vote republican.

He should have looked at the demographics before making this statement - it's just incorrect when he said they vote obama.  Some do, some dont.

Earned income tax credit, if you make under a certain amount of money you get it all back at the end of the year. And if you can claim deductions etc you get more back than you paid in, but I guess in Obama land that is fair ::)
