The Pearl High School shooting was a school shooting that took place on October 1, 1997 at Pearl High School in Pearl, Mississippi. The gunman, 16-year-old Luke Woodham (born February 5, 1981), killed two students and injured seven others at his high school. Before the shooting at Pearl High School began, Woodham stabbed and bludgeoned his mother to death in his home.

But Wait........

The school's assistant principal, Joel Myrick, retrieved a .45 pistol from his truck and, spotting him near the parking lot, shouted for Woodham to stop. Woodham instead got into a his mother's car and tried to escape. Myrick, a US Army Reserve commander, detained Woodham until authorities arrived.

Ahh, now I understand.  Since this event was cut short by the assistant principal getting a gun and stopping this kid from killing more people, it was not worthy of an agenda pushing news blitz.

The media plays these events to drive their agenda.  But only when it suits their agenda.

Shooter had already proved his point,  What is interesting, and I said this all along, it's not mental illness, it's RAGE from years of being mistreated, abused and shunned by a dysfunctional society and community.  These were the shooters own words.

" I am not insane, I am angry. I killed because people like me are mistreated every day. I did this to show society, push us and we will push back. ... All throughout my life, I was ridiculed, always beaten, always hated. Can you, society, truly blame me for what I do? Yes, you will. ... It was not a cry for attention, it was not a cry for help. It was a scream in sheer agony saying that if you can't pry your eyes open, if I can't do it through pacifism, if I can't show you through the displaying of intelligence, then I will do it with a bullet.  No one ever truly loved me. No one ever truly cared about me." "

I sincerely feel sorry for you E-Kul, you have the most depressing outlook on society, life and the world.  You have a distorted point of view, the world isn't so horrible.

I'm not the one running around in a constant state of fear and anxiety clutching a bunch of guns waiting for some gangsters to bust down the door and assault my Family so I can justify my Gun Obsessions and finally get an opportunity to pump some bullets in them just so I can say to everyone else "I told you so".  if that's what you call living, you can keep it.

Found this:

According to the witness, The school's assistant principal approached Woodham, pointed his gun at him, told him to drop his weapon and exit the car. Myrick then searched Woodham for other weapons and asked him why he had gone on his shooting rampage.

"Mr. Myrick, the world has wronged me," Woodham allegedly told Myrick. "And I just can't take it anymore." Then, in a bizarre twist, Woodham reminded Myrick that he had given the assistant principal a discount on his pizza a few nights earlier. (Woodham worked in a pizza restaurant.)

This is what puzzles me, a few nights before the shooter appears reasonably normal, working his shift at the Pizza Shop, interacting with The school's assistant principal from the school, and then BAM, a few days later he is shooting up the place.  Makes the mind boggle.

If the students were armed they could have shot him.

Wasn't it a gun that took the little innocent kiddy's lives! How come that gun didn't save them? Perhaps nobody told the gun it was a lifesaver and the gun got confused and thought it was a life taker!  It is conceivable that a device designed with the single minded purpose of projecting a led ball at high velocity over a large distance causing serious injury or death to any life form in it's path wouldn't be likely to be voted the best LIFESAVING device on the planet.

It is also conceivable that a device that is designed to take lives is needed to save people from the very same device taking the life, it probably is something that wouldn't be beneficial towards a healthy, safe and secure society.  If you were to way up the harm/benefit ratio, guns surely cause MORE harm than good.

Your sarcasm radar is broken buddy.

The argument i often hear is that guns saves lifes so if this is true why not arm the entire country. The country is armed. And death kds is the result.

Now I am not sure what side you are on! or when you are being sarcastic!.  But the answer is always more guns, more guns and more guns, the whole point of the exercise is too have a country with every civilian armed but they never use their gun because everyone else has a gun.  Of course, you will never be able to sleep, shit or shower without your gun, but that's a small price to pay for freedom and safety I guess!

The freedom of having to worry about your kids gets shot at school today.

But i guess its worth it.

They love their guns more than they love their kids.
