Yup.

I looked into “investing” in sports cards because it seemed like more fun than the usual stocks, crypto, etc., but it’s a totally artificial market populated mostly by teenage boys who are being taken advantage of.

Kids always put their cards in protective plastic cases and never handle them so they will have maximum resale value when they are 50 years old.

People in the know bought Beanie Babies back in the 1990s, left the tags on, and stored them in airtight containers.
