CONEY ISLAND - Police are searching for the man who they say walked into a Coney Island apartment and shot four people, one of them fatally. According to investigators, Joseph Brown, 29, walked into Apartment 5B at 2703 West 33rd St. at around 4 p.m. and began shooting. One male, who hasn't been identified, was pronounced dead by police on arrival. Three others, a woman and two males, were shot and taken to Lutheran Medical Center. The 62-year-old female was shot in the stomach and is said to be in critical condition. Police say one of the males, 24, was shot in the head and is also listed in critical condition. The other male, 40, was treated on the scene for a graze wound to the head. Investigators are still trying to determine the connection between the victims in the shooting. It remains unclear what Brown's motive is. He is described as 5 foot 10 inches, 180 pounds and has long braided hair.
