They can't win the debate on the merit of their ideas. Their "logic" is faulty. Gun control is a perfect example. Virtually everyone admits that the proposed legislation would do nothing to prevent Sandy Hook style shootings.
They are trying to silence people that disagree with them. They want to shut people up by making them feel uncomfortable to speak out. Most people don't like challenging a person that they pity. They don't want to look insensitive to the suffering of that individual. Democrats reinforce that. If you disagree with someone that is ill, injured or lost a child then you are heartless. It's emotional blackmail.
This kind of manipulative behavior is disgraceful. Americans should be insulted and sickened by it. It's time to start calling politicians on this and put an end to this. Don't allow yourself to be played for a fool. The facts matter, right and wrong matters, the constitution matters.
