Not only did he overpay on the car, but when it was fixed they used shoddy parts.

I got a friend he owns a body shop, if I ever need work on my car he asks do you want Chinese parts? I always say no, just cheap shit is all they are.

I knew a guy who owned a Quattroporte.

One of the biggest pieces of shit ever made. The maintenance and repairs for that car were quite often and expensive. It had a ferrari motor in it.

Italians make beautiful cars but they're all huge pieces of shit mechanically wise.
Just do searches on cars.com, craigslist, ebay .... guys that are selling Ferraris usually have all service receipts  to go along with their cars. The cost of ownership is right around $1 per mile, not including fuel or actual purchase price of the vehicle.

A guy in my area was selling a 2002 360 with $42,xxx worth of maintenance records and the car had 39,xxx miles on it!

I understand the many reasons why people buy supercars. Exclusivity, cool car, status symbol & even just having "fuck you" money. But I don't understand for the life of me how Lambos for example have clutches that last less than 9,000 miles and cost around $10k to replace. Or why certain model Ferraris have to remove the entire engines for service or oil changes.

Fucking stick an LSX motor in those bastards and you'll have 100,000 mile worry free vehicles that are powerful and reliable!!!!
