pre-internet era and back in the magazine days,he would state nothing stood in his way to achieve his physique and be top guy then,training was on point and he had some thick/conditioned muscle at that age 22/26 ..he new how to pose to his strengths and hide his waist,legs were top notch/chest/hardness/haney was just too nuch genetically shape and size wise to beat period,,,

Good post.  At his peak how do you think he's do against today's top guys?

HE COMPETED ...low end 208 and then 226 one mro and looked massive at 5'8 but blocky,,,,i think 212/s top 5 easily.open class wow don't know .

i think that the only reason gaspari placed second ahead of many good guys.....was because of his insane conditioning and fantastic leg development.



there were quite a few bbers more pleasing to the eye.....ie benfatto, labrada, pastel, demey and quinn...to name a few.

Early in his career Rich  was extremely thick and round and I think it was around 1989 he lost that trademark look. After that it was all downhill.

he won the ast Arnold classic then by 91 looked totally changed and then one last run he actually looked pretty good 95 like he hit the receptors again good and then done.

95? What show? One of Rich's mistakes was he tried to streamline his physique for the Olympia one year, big mistake.  Here's 94 lost some thickness especially in chest tore his pec but still not his usual thickness that was his trademark.

U STAND CORRECTED ,,,,,was 94 yeah arms were done mmchest 85 was awesome ,legs were still good in 94 and was pretty ripped , I remember him looking better 94 than say 91 version ,85/90 was his best ,,,,u were right .
