It's a pivotal time in human history. Seriously. The internet has become less a means for free exchange of information and ideas than a means to surveil, disinform, and advertise.
In their corner: massive companies, tons of money, entrenched interests, marionette governments. In our corner: An obese wigger. It's not looking good.
Interesting observation. The Internet has changed dramatically in the last 15 years, and not always in the right direction. Things, like the battle between copyright/patent holders vs. people who like to share all kinds of content, and methods to make a web company profitable by advertising/selling your personal data to advertisers, have a huge impact on today's Internet. There are still many ways to share information/thoughts, but most people use the Internet almost primary for entertainment. Many of them act like sheeple by adopting things like Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp or Apple products, mainly because of 'social' reasons.
