high calorie... since appetite will be minimal.

maybe whatever food will sop up alcohol (bread/greasy?) and will offset the negative depressant effect of drinking, boost endorphins.

Company would matter more than anything.

The sperm donator usually gets fucked over sooner or later.  Now dad is paying 50% to his ex-wife and probably a load of child support too... dumb dad.

Dad let his dick think for him which caused huge financial ramifications later... dumb dad.

Nothing....leave him alone. He doesn't want anyone around to "comfort" him or talk to.

What if you had other kids, are they not worth living for, in that scenario don't you think they'd need you more than ever?  ???

If I had other kids then thats different but at 50 Idon't. Three years my wife miscarried and that was tough enough. Look, I'm not saying I would off my myself. But I don't know how me or anyone else could handle that kind of loss. But for me, there is a God factor Thay would bring me some comfort.

So you are seriously asking the parents here what they would be hungry for if their kid died?

If you were raped for three days  straight by five men and found out you were pregnant...whats an appropriate baby shower theme ?

WHOA. Laying the smackdown. :-X

But a valid "point" nonetheless.

If a mod hadn't started this thread it would have been moved to General Topics immediately.

Be on the look out for less than good decisions on his part...Anything from harming himself, drug binges, to taking money (either from his own accounts or insurance payouts) and just flushing it away in a fit of grief.

A guy I knew lost his step daughter and his wife in a 6 month interval.  I warned him to go slow in what to do next, to use the insurance payouts to finance his son's college education. He quit his job in computer cartography...and went to Amsterdam...rented an apartment that cost 175 dollars a day... and over a course of three months blew every nickel he had.
His son now is having a hell of a time financing his education...

Thank you for all of the sincere suggestions.  Having 3 friends lose their daughters over the course of 10 days has my brain in a bit of a fog.   :-[

Comfort foods seem to be the logical choice.

You are saying you have 3 different friends that have all lost their daughters PLUS one single dad friend who has lost a son?

Very old school.  I haven't made those in years, although they always seem to appear at every church function.  I didn't know they were called funeral potatoes.  What's your recipe?
