I must have missed it but why do you consider him a tool? What did he do?  ???

Frank isn't slow to promote himself. The guy has an ego.

And so he should. Zane is one of the best ever and still to this day at age 70 looks better than most!

I see. To be fair, his claims seem fairly valid though.

I can see you two clashing as you too are very opinionated when it comes to bodybuilding and training.

Thanks for your reply.

Frank isn't the most highly educated champion bodybuilder. He should know this.

As do we all, some more "deserving" if you will.  Don't believe me?  Witness your own ego driven desire for "Blue Stars".  It's okay to have an ego Vince and yes, I think you deserve those stars.   You earned the right just as Frank did.  So long as one's ego doesn't mock a person by overpowering their life I see no real harm in displaying it from time to time.

Perhaps you mistakenly used the contraction "isn't"?  Zane's education is a matter of record and while Wikipedia is not always correct, I suspect they are close enough:

Zane received a B.Sc (Bachelor of Science degree) in Education from Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in 1964. For 13 years, he taught mathematics and chemistry while living in Florida and California. He also taught mathematics in Watchung Hills Regional High School, NJ, circa 1967 for two years. He also later he earned a B.A. (Bachelor of Arts degree) in psychology from Cal State LA in 1977. Finally, he was awarded a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology from Cal State SB, California in 1990.

Years ago when the "Master's Olympia" first came to the dais, Zane was a guest on the television presentation of the event.  When asked why he hadn't entered the competition he replied (and as always, I am paraphrasing), "Why should I?  I'm a three time Mr. Olympia winner and I also possess a master's degree."

In other words (in my mind), the Master's Olympia (and all the other variations on the theme including the Ms. Olympia) are without merit.  That's not "ego", it's the truth.

Well now...I find much of improvisational jazz to be (nearly  ;D) as bothersome as cRap music, but to hear Nancy Wilson accompanied by Cannonball Adderely or Sinatra and Jobim is for me a musical epiphany of the first order.

I used that FDB pose to compose this photo. I tried to send the original to Frank but he returned it saying he didn't accept email from people he didn't know. I got his address from his website.

Naturally, he reads email from people wanting to buy his products!

He was a tool when I met him at my place and nothing has changed.

I have to say it's a bit strange for a grown man to take a photo shopped pic of another man and place it in a different background and then send it to said man who previously had mocked the former.
No wonder he rejected it. Why would you want to sook up the arse of a man who insulted you decades before?

Frank insulted Arnold on national TV after he won the Mr Olympia for the 3rd. Arnold asked Frank if winning for the 3rd time was the biggest thrill for him. He

told Arnold that his biggest thrill was beating him in Miami in 1968 for a Mr Universe title. That insult stirred Arnold to train hard and enter the 1980 Mr Olympia.

Zane came in third behind Arnold and Chris Dickerson. Yes, Frank had an accident before the contest that caused him to lose some size. I guess I wasn't the

only person Frank pissed off. Frank never won the Olympia again. There is a lesson there for muscleheads.

100% TRUE, Arnold planned his revenge and when getting into shape for the Conan movie entered the contest to "teach" Zane a lesson...

In reflecting on the 1980 Olympia one has to ask, why did Arnold enter? He knew he couldn't be at his all-time peak, and was risking defeat and a denting of his reputation. Zane feels he has at least part of the answer: "I think one of the reasons is he wanted to get even with me for something I said at the previous year's Olympia. Now, let me tell you, Arnold has helped me a lot, both before 1980 and since. In 1979 he was really helpful to me. He was doing CBS commentary for the '79 Olympia and he really built me up with his on-air comments. As I came offstage with my third Sandow I was feeling really good and maybe a little cocky. As Arnold came forward to interview me, He asked, 'Frank, how does it feel to win Mr. Olympia for the third time?' And, I answered, 'Arnold if feels even better than when I beat you for [the 1968] Mr. Universe.' I know he hated me saying that. It really bugged him and I think to get back at me for that remark was part of his motivation to enter the 1980 Mr. Olympia."
