Santa Monica College was placed on lockdown Friday after reports that a suspect fired a gun inside a campus building just before noon.Five people -- including the gunman -- were confirmed dead during an 8:20 p.m. PST press conference by Santa Monica police sergeant Richard Lewis. Several people were also wounded: one person critically, one person in serious but stable condition and three people with minor injuries.
If all those students, their family members, friends, and pets, including goldfish had guns, this would not have happened.
