Not surprised.

Poll: Obamacare Less Popular Than EVER
by Keith Koffler on June 6, 2013

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll finds that 49 percent of adults think Obamacare is a bad idea, the highest tally the two new organizations have recorded since a survey taken in March 2010, when the law was passed.

And the opposition is intense. Among the 49 percent who vote thumbs down, 43 percent said they “strongly” hold that view.

Only 37 percent believe Obamacare is a “good idea.” And by a 38-19 percent tally, more people think they will be worse off than better off under Obamacare.

The survey tracks other recent polling, which has also found a startling gap of about 12 percent between those who favor the law and those who don’t.

The latest RealClearPolitics average of Obamacare polls puts opposition the law at just under 53 percent, nearly as high as its ever been since Obama signed it.

The polling suggests that, coupled with the administration’s scandals, Republicans will have plenty of issues going for them as they head in the 2014 midterm elections.

I'd love to see a poll of the level of basic working knowledge that people actually have about the law

I'd wager that the level of knowledge of the benefits is extremely low

In fact a recent poll shows that an unbelievably large % of people don't even know its still law

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2013/04/obamacare-poll-finds-42-of-americans-unaware-its-law/
Quote
“Four in ten Americans (42%) are unaware that the ACA [Affordable Care Act] is still the law of the land,” the report says, “including 12 percent who believe the law has been repealed by Congress, 7 percent who believe it has been overturned by the Supreme Court and 23 percent who say they don’t know enough to say what the status of the law is.”

When it's fully implemented I have a feeling that the % of people "strongly against it" will increase.

I have a feeling it will be exactly the opposite people will realize all the scary stories were mostly bullshit and many people who could never afford insurance or were locked out with pre-existing conditions, etc.. will now have access to affordable insurance

When do you think we will know this?

I agree.  I question whether every member Congress has actually read the law.

As soon as the law is fully implemented and people start actually receiving the benefits (i.e. becoming personally aware of the benefits) and others who are not receiving benefits will also realize that all the scare tactics were mostly bullshit

probably farther out than that maybe 2015 or even later

given the fact that 40% of people polled don't even know its still law I think it's going to take some time for the average american idiot to figure out if they like it or not and even then there will be those who are too stupid to know for sure

Look at all the teabaggers who hate the government being involved in healthcare yet carry signs saying keep your hands off my medicare

Look at the people on this board who post the same lies over and over again

There is always going to be a certain percentage of people in this country that are just too fucking stupid to even understand what it is or what they've got
