Yeah, not sure what there is to be proud about here. Perhaps his service was honorable but I don't see where killing fellow human beings is anything to glorify. I'm sure if Pat Tillman (a true American hero in every sense) were still alive today he wouldn't be associated with something like this.

From what I understand about Tillman, he was placing others into completely unnecessary danger, and it was one of them that killed him.

An argument someone once presented, perhaps a year or two after it happened, that brought me from 'no opinion' to adequately convinced.  My belief is that he was full of himself at that time in his life, and a war zone was probably the worst place for him to be.

I can tell u that Pat was what everyone on here aspires to be. Pat was super smart and could kick ass. Not too many white guys succeed as defensive backs in the NFL. It doesn't get any more competitive than that.

Tillman could have walked on any maximum security prison yard in this country and been the Alpha regardless of who else was out there. Not too many guys can say that.
