Jeter lives the ultimate bachelors dream. Rich with probably close to $200mil in the bank, no kids, can get any girl he wants and isn't a trouble maker, life long Yankee and first ballot HOF'er.  I can't recall ever hearing anything bad about the guy. One of the few high profile athletes who has their shit together. What bachelor (and some married guys) wouldn't kill to have this guys life!!

I like Jeter (no homo), he's way over-rated defensively but if you watch him when hitting, no matter where he hits the ball, if it's a line drive in the gap, routine fly ball, easy grounder, home run, no matter what he runs HARD the whole way.  Most pros don't do that since it's not going to make a difference 99% of the time against MLB-caliber defense but I respect him for it.

I disagree.  I'm no fan of the Yankees but what has Jeter ever done that is so objectionable?

Has he ever been arrested?

Has he ever beat up his wife/gf?

Is he a deadbeat dad?

I think most people who dislike him probably dislike the Yankees for beating their team and vicariously dislike Jeter for being the face of the Yankees and their success over the last ~ 15 years.
