The idea of Syria as a regional oil transit hub is nothing new, thanks to its situation between Europe and major producing areas in the Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea. I don't think there are any conspiracy theories to be put forth on this.  Everything is real clear but Obama's attempt to justify sending us into WWIII.  Fucking Hagel and Kerry should be disgusted with their support of this, at least Hagel should be for sure.  So far Hagel, Kerry, Biden and fucking Obama have proven to be the world's biggest hypocrites and liars ever, if Bush were doing this exact thing with Syria they would all be against it!!! FACT  It's time for these guys under Obama to own what they all have said they believe in and resign if orders are given.  This is NOT in the interest of America.

And sorry, everybody from the most educated on the subject to idiots like us have been talking about this very situation between these same countries for 30 fucking years as the probable start to WWIII.  The president absolutely does no have the authority to start that war on his own and that's about what he and these other twits are about to do.

i dont think there will be a war, to be honest.  we'll probably ramp up forces, talk tough, reach some agreement, assad will make concessions or maybe even leave.  I mean, letting them know we have 300 marines offshore... if we really wanted to wreck their world, CNN sure woudln't be talking about the marines.. they'd already be in there doing what they do.

So while I enjoy the conversation and debate of "why was iraq okay for war, but this isn't?", really, I'll be shocked if we have a war there.  nobody really wants it.

 When was the last time a leader like Assad made concessions or offered to leave?  Oh that's right, Saddam did and we ignored it, you don't think that lesson sits in Assad's head?  This isn't a joke.  Russia isn't going to want to give up Syria.  Iran is going to form some kind of retaliation and we'll probably catch that and then we'll have what we need for that attack, that could then escalate easy since so many in power are eager for that to be the real fight here.  China can't do shit but they'll dick with shit financially which will tick us off and yea this can easy blow up fast.  On shit of this level, the president does not have the authority to start that kind of war and everyone understands that's the potential outcome here.  

This president has a way with backing himself into a must act corner.  He's done it before and now he's done it again.  He's spent the last several days saying that "there will be a harsh response" The fucking idiot has yet again committed himself before the order on this shit should be taken.  He shouldn't use that kind of language.  He should at least say, "we're looking at a possible harsh response if," or whatever.  Now we look vulnerable if we don't.  This guy has no business being president.  I don't think we'll ever have another good president at this rate...
