  Any one watch these?

  There is a scene where a race car stops on the track, and a mechanic is working on the back end of it... then another car rear ends him and cuts him in half  then the driver that got rear ended gets out of the car and sees his mechanic dead and he really starts to cry and freak out   


 any racing buffs here know what event that was from?

I think it happened in USA racing, I know Euro racing pretty well and I don't remember it

 this was one worker working on the back of the car (gear box?) while it was stopped

 as all of the other cars were doing there figure eight driving thing during the flag, one guy decided to speed past them all and right in to the back of the stalled car   thus cutting the mechanic in half behind the trunk of the car

the rear ended and stalled driver, gets out runs to the back of the car, sees his mechanic cut in half and still moving (creepy) he starts crying and going insane

i don't know that one, but there's the one with the race steward getting run over and getting almost ripped in half
