He is editor in chief of muscle and fitness I think.

He gave the ironage site to some other guys to run because he was short of time.

Shawns a good guy. The only thing I question, is he said he was 16, weighed around 140,and benched 405.
Total world record numbers there.

Other than that, great guy. If its true, all the best to him...

He said that?!

I know he said he was very strong for his weight, but I don't recall him being that young or that light when he claimed to bench 400+.

He is a good guy, though.  He's a decent writer and he definitely practices what he preaches.  His triceps cuts are about as good as any I've ever seen.

He's about 5'8 160lbs.

He claims these lifts.  Bench over 350 without a spot. 405 with a slight spot what ever that means. Squat 600 for half reps and 455 for a parallel for a couple of reps. In my book a half squat and a parallel squat is the same depth. His deadlift was 455 . I would love to see him bench 315 or deadlift 405 raw. It's incredible strength for such a small guy.

He says he is in shape year round. He does have a very ripped and dense physique.

It was fun over there until all the fighting happened. Everyone in general was civil. I put a lot of effort into some of my posts there. I had a lot of fun. When it wasn't fun anymore I left. Now I post on the wild west of bodybuilding boards getbig. No rules here. Ball busting left and right. A huge percentage of posters seem unemployed, special ed, ultra liberal, and drug loving. Having said that it's easiest one of the funniest posting boards I have ever been on.

Shawn knows what is required to succeed in the magazine business and does what is necessary. He stopped growing his muscles years ago. That says it all. Anyway, I wondered if such an idealistic guy could change the way things are in bodybuilding but we all know the answer. He tows the line like all the other hypocritical editors. I mean, why do they keep the bullshit going about bodybuilders needing all that protein? That is an outright lie but supplement companies pay for most of the advertising. Then what is being done about all the drugs in the sport? Bugger all.

Scalise doesn't like me and neither did a female moderator there. Lots of people are moderators on muscle forums who haven't paid their dues or are just plain dense. Moderators and editors think they know more than everyone else and that is seldom true.

Perine has moved up in the magazine ranks. He knows how to negotiate the scene.
