Shawns a good guy. The only thing I question, is he said he was 16, weighed around 140,and benched 405.Total world record numbers there.Other than that, great guy. If its true, all the best to him...
He's about 5'8 160lbs. He claims these lifts. Bench over 350 without a spot. 405 with a slight spot what ever that means. Squat 600 for half reps and 455 for a parallel for a couple of reps. In my book a half squat and a parallel squat is the same depth. His deadlift was 455 . I would love to see him bench 315 or deadlift 405 raw. It's incredible strength for such a small guy. He says he is in shape year round. He does have a very ripped and dense physique.
Shawn knows what is required to succeed in the magazine business and does what is necessary. He stopped growing his muscles years ago. That says it all. Anyway, I wondered if such an idealistic guy could change the way things are in bodybuilding but we all know the answer. He tows the line like all the other hypocritical editors. I mean, why do they keep the bullshit going about bodybuilders needing all that protein? That is an outright lie but supplement companies pay for most of the advertising. Then what is being done about all the drugs in the sport? Bugger all. Scalise doesn't like me and neither did a female moderator there. Lots of people are moderators on muscle forums who haven't paid their dues or are just plain dense. Moderators and editors think they know more than everyone else and that is seldom true.
