Surfing & sailing is 1000x more dangerous than BB, but looks like opposite if someone
compares #'s of dead champions in those 3 sports.

1998 Sydney to Hobart race, waves up to 31m were measured:
Fierce storm & violent wind battered the fleet
-115 yachts started
-66 boats retired from the race
-5 boats sank
-only 44 boats made it to Hobart
-55 sailors were taken of theirs yachts by helicopter
-6 sailors died

On numerous occasion I have witnessed 4-7m high waves, no fucking way to go into water,
human body can be turn into meat ball.
Big wave surfers a mad kamikazes
If you can 'must see' is Bells Beach (Victoria/Australia) the world's longest running surfing competition
Film 'Point Break' with Patrick Swayze & Keanu Reeves, final scene of the film is set at 'Bells', the scene
was not filmed there (Hollywood BS).

But the Aussie accents were so genuine of the guys leaving the beach  ;D

I thought someone said close to 50mph...Not sure though...That's fukcing flying on a surf board...
Usually around 36mph..can be faster depending on the ski driver

The shitty part is how cold that water is..I try to not surf in a spot anymore if it requires a wetsuit

Twice a century the ocean let's us know just how small we really are. A storm comes out of Antarctica, tearing up the Pacific, and it sends a huge swell north 2,000 miles. And when it hits Bells Beach it'll turn into the biggest surf this planet has ever seen.
