sounds like someone is upset at Adonis' superior intellect, breeding, culture and class.

Upset?  Naw....just was trying to make a point.  I love the judgements that get thrown around here.  Look at yourself man....people tore your shit up when they saw your pic.  Who gives a rats ass?  You're funny as shit....you dont have a problem with how you look....so you said fuck it.  Just like the people who want the damn phone....they feel they have a need for it....so fuck it, let them buy it.  I am with Adam on it....does anyone really NEED it...probably not.  They want it, so they will buy it.  I havent filled a quarter of the fucking drive space on my computer system.  Did I need the drive?  Nope.  Just wanted it.

Scroll back where I congratulated MCFARLAND for finally saying that he did not need it, but wanted it or something along those lines.

This is the response I wanted to elicit.  Few people can ever separate their needs from their wants.  The ignorant blur these lines and this is why marketing is so effective.

Exactly.....the lines between want/need get blurred by flashy shit.  We all have become victim to it from time to time.

I don't know...  I kind of like having access to shitloads of information I need where ever I am. A small "shiny rectangle" is far more practical than a backpack or briefcase full of books and papers, don't you think?  And as far as those people who can't quit texting or emailing 24/7, that's their problem...  if I don't feel like responding right away to people who are emailing me, I don't.

I have nothing against technology....I use it regularly.   Although, this phone craze is ridiculous.   I'm get so tired of those around me freakin the fvck out when they leave their phone at home or the battery dies, etc....   I like the technology (I still find some excessive and purely a waste of money), but it's the dependency leash that needs cutting for so many fanatics.

I have (had) the Q. It Sucked big time.

I shelled out $600+ for an iPhone yesterday.  Got to the line and was approached by the third guy in line - $1500 for the phone and his spot. Yeah, F'N right!  About 30 spots down some kid about 16yo said he was selling his spot for $20.  So I made a deal with him to be back at 6pm with a burger meal for him and his 20spot.  easy.

I'm an apple guy, business has been good and I don't mind spending $600+.  and actually the way I look at it this phone cost me $600 + tax $ 26 for the kid's spot +$175 current phone contract cancelation penalty.

Why do you need it?  You sit at the pool all day in the Hawaiian sun.

Thats just it, I need it.  I do all my business on the phone and internet (email).  I don't have to go anywhere to make my money and get the job done.  No office, no driving, no nothing.  I do drive to the other side of the island help out with something over there but inreality  could do everything from home but they want to see me.  I couldn't live without a cell phone.  I had one when they first came out in 1986.  When LA Cellular was your only choice and it cost $.50 a minute.  Had my car phone put in my BMW with the little antenna coming out of the roof above the rear window.  Would have to pull over on the freeway to talk sometimes because of the lack of signal.  Remember carrying around the huge cell phone when they first came out.

I have considered buying one of those old Brick phones and getting analog service.  I tend to lose or break all of my phones.  I can`t seem to find many analog providers anymore.  :(
