You are racist though. Extremely racist.

Excuse me? Me... racist? You gotta be off your rocker!!!
I've been fighting racism my whole life... from Blacks & Whites!

Quote
And teaching children that theyre success is somehow in part to their skin color is extremely fucking racist.

And who the heck is doing that? Certainly not me!!!

Quote
Maybe when american blacks are meeting the same qualifications as all the other races and still being held down, then you can complain about privilege. Right now they're woefully sub par in almost all education and standardized testing compared to every other race.

how about instead of blaming others for failure, they step up and actually fucking compete.

im so sick of hearing the black community blame everyone for their failures as a race and culture. They need to quit bitching, get off their fucking ass, and take responsibility for themselves. There is no reason in modern America for them to fail besides their own ignorance and laziness.

rant over.

I'm glad you're done ranting... I wouldn't want you to pop a blood vessel or anything.

At the risk of setting you off, may I ask when it was, or how it was you came to the conclusion that I have ever referred to test scores as indicative of white skin priviledge.

White Skin Priviledge is what it is, and it does exist, ...however I've never been an advocate for one to simply cry in their beer, Kool-aid, ...purple drank. I say until it is eradicated, recognize it, ...deal with it, ...and find ways to overcome it. Is that what makes me a racist in your eyes?

You don't even want to compare tales of racism.   Being black doesnt mean anything at all.

When are you going to deal with black violence and interracial rape?  When are you going to deal with black fathers abandoning their children?  As long as the black community has excuses like white privilege to blame for their problems,  they never will.

Its a political tool used by the left to marginalize the opposition and control the dialogue.

I completely disagree

Quote
To teach innocent children guilt and self loathing is abusive and immoral.

I completely agree, ...and sadly, that is something mainstream North American society does to little Black children every day. The racism is so systemic that most rarely notice it... Black or White. It's still there.

Do we know that "teaching guilt & self loathing is what "The Jacket" does, ...or are you assuming?

Quote
I would be willing to bet you all the tea in china that I experience more racism and poverty than you have.  And its infuriating when self righteous people like yourself feel like they can label me and generalize my experience simply because I happen to be white.

First let me say I'm sorry you experience racism.
As one who also experiences it myself to certain degrees, I know it's not fun at all.

Secondly, I'm sorry you experience poverty. I've experienced hard times and I know thats not fun either.
BTW: If you want to escape poverty, a world of lack & restriction, and move into financial freedom and prosperity, ...I can help you with that.  :D  Just PM me.  ;)   :P  seriously.

Thirdly, I have never once generalized about YOUR experience, ...however, by your very statement,
and offer to bet me all the tea in China, it appears you have generalized MINE. Hmmm...  :-\

I think too many people have too many knee-jerk reactions, reading far more into things than what has actually been stated, ...and sometimes reading only what they want to see or expect to see.

For example: I was once having a conversation with a girlfriend in Louisiana, wherein I stated "I don't know if I could really enjoy living in the USA, there's just far too many racist people in the states for my liking." Do you know what her immediate response was? She burst out with "Well Blacks can be racist too ya know". I was like WTF? Isn't that what I just said? ...that there were too many racist people in the states? To which she responded "Oh, I thought you were only referring to Whites." Of course I then took the opportunity to screw with her head a little bit by countering "Are implying that Blacks are not people?" lol. Just to point out the ridiculousness of her thinking. It's like the term "reverse-racism" used to describe Black racist attitudes towards Whites. seriously..  "reverse-racism"? ??? Good grief!! Racism is Racism PERIOD! If anything, what's called for is true reverse-racism, ...not more racism.

No I wouldn't. I'm not one to wallow in a pity party and don't encourage this sort of thing in others.

It shouldn't, ...but it evidently holds great significance for many Tea Party members, Klan members, and many who dislike the current President. It also means an entirely whole set of experiences that many who are not Black can not relate to.

Black people never hesitate to put a mirror up to whites.  Im only doing the same thing to them.

Wow, ...we've made the leap from a fourth grade English book to violence, child abandonment, and interracial rape?

Wow! If you'll excuse me... I have a few phone calls to make. Enjoy the rest of the discussion.

What I'm saying here is that it's easy to raise children with a stigma if one desires to.   And another point,  don't go pointing fingers at other people when you have a whole mess of issues yourself.

What we refer to as "Liberals" this side of our border, would be considered centrist "Libertarians" in the USA.

It's been made clear to me that what is referred to as "Affirmative Action" differs quite differently in it's application between our two countries.

It sometimes help when people are singing off the same sheet of music.

I've made the assumption that education about white skin priviledge will be done in the same sensitive & educational manner in which it is accomplished in Canada, however, your recent fiasco into Universal Health Care clearly demonstrates that just because it shares the same name, doesn't make it the same animal.

We have yet to see how "The Jacket" will be rolled out, or what is even in the book, so speculation is pointless, and anyone whipping themselves into a frenzy over a book which they know nothing about, reveals themselves to be an easily manipulated reactionary lacking the capacity for critical thought.

Archer absolutely owing here ;D

And yea I've come to realise now that I'm older just how indoctrinated the whole school system is...instead of reading books about actual history and facts we mostly read worthless fiction crap by mostly leftist ideologue types for no reason other than to push the leftist social/political agenda.  Also we spent entire semesters learning about the holocaust and reading books by jews when our school and city is only like 1% jewish, while learning about american history or anything else was mostly skipped over. Pure propaganda/agenda-based 'education'.

The main reason for teaching a concept like white privilege is to instill in innocent children a sense of deep and profound guilt.  This guilt can be manipulated in order to force compliance and dissuade criticism.   It's pure political indoctrination.  I imagine the rationale is, if it proves to difficult to bring up a poor performing segment of the population, it might be easier to bring down the other more successful group.

Exactly, and it has worked very well. Most of my fellow white yuppie classmates from back then are as politically correct as can be today, blaming every problem in society somehow on whites (their own race) and their only reasoning is 'because slavery' and other bs, and they care more about 'gay marriage' than any of the actually gay people I've known

They also post propaganda all over the walls of public schools to indoctrinate impressionable kids into abandoning their successful, productive culture in favor of various third world cultures.

Very sickening, I would never send a kid to public school.

Yeah, I remember a story after 9/11 about an elementary school teacher who forced her students to dress and "live" like Muslims during her class for a week or something.  In order to remove the negative stigma that the evil right wingers have attached to Muslims ie terrorists.  WTF?!!  Try making black kids dress like white christians and see what the response would be from the media?  Roger is exactly right, it is all indoctrination to keep people under the thumbs of the ruling class.

OK, it's pretty clear that you don't understand what white priviledge is.

It is neither an excuse for failure, nor a reason for success, and it certainly is considerably more than just a mere talking point. It is the state of affairs within North America. You can choose to deny it, or dismiss it all you want, it will still be there.

What is white privilege then?

As a inter-racial person who looks white, I don't see it either... Nor did my mother... Who isn't white. She studied hard and became an engineer... What the hell does white privilege have to do with any of it?

These things are plain and simple full of shit.
