I believe I read somewhere that homo's started the goatee to circle the mouth so that it looked like a hairy ahole...

Bret has a membership at my gym.  he is very quiet irl.   must have been pretty tough for him to exude so much confidence.  knew Davey Boy a bit, and several of the other wrestlers, but not really the Harts.   their brother in law owned BJ's gym in Calgary for 40 years and if they worked out it was usually there.

I always have a goatee or beard.  I have two small moles on my lip and chin that get nicked and bleed like stuck pigs when I shave them.
