Using the internet to debunk the internet

Why is it when someone posts an outlandish story from the internet, someone then debunks with snopes another internet site and then claim the other person was wrong?

Its better to be correct than to be wrong.  What is the point of disseminating false information?

Primary sources are usually best.  The problem with most people is that they don`t have any clue what that is.  Always use Evidence and Facts and nothing else.

soemthing like this is happening on this very forum, in general board, in the did hitler flee to argentina thread.

some not so open neo nazis wish it were true, meanwhile i have read books by forensics ont he matter, proving everything without any doubt left, but they just forward to the internet or a tv show ::)
