ok, this should clear things up a bit.   these two members of my gym met jay.    the guy in black says he is 5'8. the guy with the cap says he is 5'9.   I am less than 5'10 (slightly) and I am taller than both of them, so I believe they are accurate with their heights.

Dude jay is leaning while those guys are standing straight up gives off perception that he is a lot shorter

I have no idea how tall he is.  I do know how tall the other two in the pics are, and I am just  showing these so everyone can deduce on their own.

Sounds plausible, I was standing next to Jay and was almost a head higher, being 6'0.

I'm 5'10 and when I met jay I'd guess that he was 1-2" shorter
