nobody could get sideline to sideline as fast as ray Lewis could in his prime. his closing speed was simply almost unbelievable. he was also the most feared player on the field given his intensity, athleticism and demeanour. he was just a bad man. imo the best linebacker to ever play the game. that's coming from a giants fan who grew up watching LT.
I think with a guy like Ray Lewis who has a god complex, the Hierarchy media most likely thinks that at any time a scandal could break out with Lewis. Whether he kills someone again or gets caught with whores, coke etc. So they want to build him up right now knowing that he will fukc himself sooner rather than later and the publicity will make mega millions for the media outlets. Ray's biggest downfall is that he talks about God all the time. That will be used against him when he fukcs up. No doubt about it.

LT was an OLB, so there isn't any argument from me. I would however, say that Ray is the best all around linebacker, with all his intangables.
