Can someone please explain to me how amnesty for 15 million illegal immigrants is going to be beneficial for the country? Its pretty clear why the socialists want it, they think they will get all their votes. Why are the Vichy republicans also pushing for it? Do they think it will get them their votes?
Obama keeps saying amnesty 'is the right thing to to'- but why? Other than votes, what are the benefits of this?

How is adding 15 million foreigners to the population going to be good for the economy? How is it good for american society and culture? What is their reasoning here? How would this be good for america in any way? I just don't see it- can some pro amnesty lib please educate me on how this would be so good for the nation???

It all depends on what you want.  Votes, cheap labor or demographic dominance.  It benefits a lot of groups, at least in the short term. No one is considering the long term consequences.  All sides are blinded by ideology.

It's a political tool liberals have abused for a long time, but it is getting away from them these days as illegal immigration has declined while immigration by wealthy Asians has increased.

These amnesty people have never traveled to central and south America...they'd be horrified and that would be the end of that. Just travel to downtown El Paso.....

So basically there are no benefits whatsoever other than votes, and 'demographic dominance' by a group with no loyalties to american history, culture, or constitutional ideology. America will be underminded from within by a foreign culture/political ideologies/way of life.

Is this pretty much out in the open now, like no one even pretends this isn't the only reason? I have yet to hear a single reason from obama, the dems, or the vichy republicans, or any proponent whatsoever, as to how exactly this will benefit america or the american people.

One argument I hear is that the United States was built by immigrants which is only partially true and not really a valid argument today.  We are at a time in our history where the mass importation of cheap isn't as necessary because of the erosion of the manufacturing base and exportation of those jobs abroad.  There aren't enough jobs for the uneducated unskilled worker and allowing more of them will only drive down wages and create unnecessary competition with native workers.

Exactly...it just blows my mind that something so clearly bad for the future of the nation can be so openly advocated by the highest offices even the president himself, and they don't even have to explain why it would be good in any way, they can just blatantly do it for the short term gain of getting votes. Surely the nation cannot thrive much longer when this is the state of things.

THE MAIN REASON?  Cheap labor for the corporations.  A new world for the rich in which the poor work for less and are more subserviant and easy to control.

And sadly, the majority of members of both parties want amnesty. Boehner definitely wants it even if claims he wants to do it by passing one legislation at a time.

The only answers you're going to get are cheap platitudes and idealistic egalitarian bullshit.

Just amazing. The president and most of the united states government is openly pushing for something that is CLEARLY horrible for the nation, and don't even pretend to say otherwise, and no one cares. The only group actually opposing it (tea party) actually gets smeared and called racist just for questioning if it is a good idea. Just amazing.

My solution: fly each illegal back to southern mexico and charge mexican governmetn 200k each.
Seize mexican trade trucks if not paid.
done
Same for whoever, irish, musliiiimz, etc etc.
